Ghaziabad (UP) – A case of yellow fungus has been reported in the country after several black and white fungus cases. The experts are of the opinion that yellow fungus is more dangerous than both the black and white fungi. The patient infected with the yellow fungus is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Ghaziabad.

- Symptoms of yellow fungus include loss of appetite, weight loss, laziness, malnutrition, organ failure, sunken eyes, etc. In such cases, immediate treatment is essential.
- Lack of cleanliness is the primary cause of yellow fungus. Therefore, it is extremely important to maintain cleanliness. It is recommended not to eat stale food. Moreover, humid atmosphere may lead to growth of the fungus. At present Amphotericin B – an antifungal drug is injected as a treatment.
