BJP leaps from 4 to 48 wards

Hyderabad (Telengana) – After a bitterly fought election in Hyderabad, the Municipal corporation is in a hung state. While the Telangana Rashtra Samiti is leading with 55 wards, BJP has emerged as the next largest winner with 48 wards while AIMIM backed candidates secured the 3rd position with 44 wards. Congress had to remain content with merely 2 wards. BJP had won only 4 wards during the previous election. However, his time there was a tremendous increase in number of BJP wards as the BJP emphasised on nationalism. Since none of the parties was able to garner a clear majority the Corporation is in a hung state. So the question arises, ‘which party will come to power?’ It is being said, ‘Telangana Rashtra Samiti and AIMIM may come together in order to keep the BJP out of power’.
