Mumbai – Some paintings were to be sold Online by the ‘Archer Arts Gallery’ website in Ahmedabad. Anti-Hindu painter MF Hussein’s paintings were also included in their collection. Upon receiving this information, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) sent a letter to the Gallery protesting against this and demanded that Hussein’s paintings not be sold by them. HJS also appealed to Hindus to oppose this lawfully, which Hindus did. As a result, the ‘Archer Arts Gallery’ withdrew Hussein’s paintings from their sale. Hussein had drawn obscene and nude pictures of Hindu Deities and Bharat Mata. As a result, the feelings of millions of Hindus and Indians had been hurt.
