Success of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti in preventing denigration of Shri Ganesh during Ganeshotsav

Mumbai – During Ganeshotsav, many establishments denigrate Shri Ganesh taking place through various means for financial gains. This year too, some devout Hindus brought such instances to the notice of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). HJS appealed to Hindus through its website and social media to oppose denigration legally.

HJS succeeded in preventing the denigration of Shri Ganesh during Ganeshotsav by Flipkart, McDonald’s and Madhya Pradesh Cyber Police Department because of the organised legal protest by the Hindus.

Success achieved by HJS

1. Flipkart

Flipkart, an e-commerce website, had advertised a discount by Federal Bank on a mobile phone App by displaying Shri Ganesh holding the mobile phone in His trunk, on the occasion of Ganeshotsav. The picture was removed within hours due to protests by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti on Twitter.

2. McDonald’s

McDonald’s had posted a picture on Instagram and Facebook showing his ‘French fries’ in the form of Shri Ganesh. Both these posts were deleted by McDonald’s after protests by Hindus.

3. Madhya Pradesh Cyber Police

The Cyber Police Department of Madhya Pradesh had humanised Shri Ganesh in the picture and had written words on his face enlightening about confidential information. This was by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and other devout Hindus opposed this on Twitter and demanded the removal of the picture. After that, the Police deleted the tweet.
