In this context, the Indian Air Force wrote a letter to the Central Film Censor Board, stating that some scenes shown in the film presented by ‘Dharma Productions’ were unfit, misguided and as anti-female image of the Indian Air Force and asked to remove these scenes; but it was not followed, the Air Force has said. Due to this the film and Karan Johar were opposed on social media. Some also raised the question, ‘Is this a conspiracy to defame our Indian Army and the country?’ Apart from this, they also demanded that, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Censor Board should take action against the producers, actors etc. of the presented film’.
