Mumbai – In an interview given in 2024, actress Chahat Khanna had stated that she had no regrets about converting her religion. Now, she has returned to Sanatan Dharma. Chahat said, “Fortunately, when I returned to the roots of my Sanatan Dharma, I began to understand the truth behind many things. Many people did not want me to convert; however, I wanted to perform nikah (marriage), and therefore, I did it. My Muslim husband, Farhan Mirza, had brainwashed me. I was troubled by suspicion, constant allegations, physical assault, obscene abuse, sexual and mental harassment, as well as financial exploitation.” (Please note the true nature of religious fanatics ! – Editor)

In 2018, Chahat Khanna filed for divorce, citing sexual and mental harassment. She told the media that during shootings, her husband would come to the sets and create disturbances, objecting to her scenes with co-actors. She was kept under surveillance. She was also not allowed to take both her daughters along with her.
Chahat Khanna said, “I was told not to worship my Deities, as it was not right. Like a misguided child, I kept following that path; however, now I am happy and in a much better state. I have learnt from it. Now I understand what is right and what is wrong, and I am living a very aware life. After the divorce, it took me a long time to return to my original Dharma.”
