Telegram may be banned in India for question paper leakage

New Delhi – The social networking app ‘Telegram’ could be prosecuted in India. Durov, the founder of Telegram, was arrested in France 2 days ago. Pavel Durao was arrested for not taking action against the use of Telegram by Islamic State terrorists. Telegram app’s misuse was also highlighted during the investigation of recent question paper leakage case in India. Telegram has also been accused of promoting criminal activities such as extortion and gambling. Due to this, the Union Government has started an inquiry into Telegram. If found to be true, the Telegram app may be banned in India.
