Chief Advisor in Interim Government of Bangladesh Prof. Muhammad Yunus assures

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – “Our Government will not discriminate against anyone on the basis of religion or political opinion. We want to include all members of the country in one family. Religious minorities, tribes and marginalised communities are equal citizens of the new Bangladesh and they will have equal rights,” assured the Chief Advisor in the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Prof. Muhammad Yunus, while addressing the nation on television on 25th August.
Shrikrushna Janmashtami celebrated in Dhaka
Shrikrushna Janmashtami was celebrated in Hindu temples in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh and other cities. A large procession was taken out on the occasion of Janmashtami in Dhaka. After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina Government in Bangladesh on August 5, due to the deterioration of communal harmony, many question marks were raised about this year’s Janmashtami events. In this background, after Muhammad Yunus’ speech, the Janmashtami was celebrated in Dhaka as usual.
