Create ‘Hindu Bengal’ in Bangladesh and settle Hindus there : Hindu Makkal Katchi

Hindu Makkal Katchi or Hindu People’s Party is a Tamil Nadu based political party

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) – After Bangladesh and USA, now Indian citizens are also protesting against the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh. A protest was held at Gandhi Park for this purpose on the evening of 10th August. The protest was organised by Hindu Makkal Katchi, a pro-Hindu organisation. While addressing the audience, the founder chairman of the organisation, Arjun Sampath, said, “The Government of India, the United
Nations and international human rights organisations should raise their voices against the plight of the minority Hindus in Bangladesh. A new ‘Hindu Bengal’ should be created in Bangladesh and arrangements should be made to settle Hindus there. The safety of Hindus should be guaranteed there.”

Important points presented by Arjun Sampath

1. Hindus who suffered persecution in Bangladesh and are living as refugees in India should be granted fast-track citizenship under the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

2. A United Nations peacekeeping force should be sent to prevent riots in Bangladesh.

3. Bangladesh is a Muslim fundamentalist country like Pakistan; but India is a secular country. There is no nation for Hindus. Therefore, it is India’s responsibility to protect Hindus.

4. INDI alliance, DMK and Congress protest for Palestinian Muslims; but they do nothing for the Bangladeshis Hindus. The ruling DMK party in Tamil Nadu, which has raised its voice for justice for the women of Manipur, has not even protested even verbally the situation in Bangladesh.

5. Muslim organisations in India have not uttered a single word of protest about the ongoing violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. Hindus in India should take note of this.

Editorial Perspective

Government of India should now put pressure on Bangladesh for this fair demand. Hindus feel that the Ministry of External Affairs should make efforts to get support for this demand from other countries.
