Parbhani – Hindus led by former MP Sambhaji Raje had staged a protest for the removal of encroachments on Vishalgad, because of which, the administration was forced to remove the encroachments. The Court later issued a stay order on the action by the administration. The religious fanatics alleged that it was an attack on their community and staged a protest march in Parbhani.

Hindus have been agitating for the past several years for the removal of encroachments by religious fanatics on Vishalgad. Since the administration was not taking any action to remove the encroachments, former MP Chatrapati Sambhaji Raje announced that he would go there on 14thJuly. Accordingly, he left for the fort at 9 a.m. Even before he could reach the fort, at around 11 a.m., some unknown youths engaged in heavy stone pelting on the houses at Vishalgad. It smashed glass panes of some houses and some shops were also burnt. 2- wheeler and 4-wheeler vehicles were vandalised. Secular Parties and Organisations capitalised on this incident to their advantage by blatantly ignoring the unauthorised constructions, and blaming the Hindus.

If there is an alleged attack on the people of their community at a distant place, the religious fanatics immediately stand in support by taking out rallies etc. How many Hindus unite if there is an attack on their religious brethren ? |
