Rome (Italy) – Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Italy for the G-7 Summit and met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the first day. After their meeting, Prime Minister Modi expressed India’s eagerness to strengthen bilateral ties with Ukraine, highlighting the importance of cooperation and dialogue between the two nations.

Strengthening India-UK Strategic Partnership

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting, during which both leaders reiterated their commitment further to strengthen the strategic partnership between India and Britain.

Enhancing India-France Collaborations

Prime Minister Modi also met French President Emmanuel Macron. The discussion focused on enhancing partnerships in key areas such as defence, artificial intelligence (AI), technology, and space.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in sessions focusing on artificial intelligence, energy, Africa, and the Mediterranean region. Pope Francis will also attend these sessions. Prime Minister Modi will likely meet Pope Francis and hold bilateral discussions with him during the summit.
