Pak to pay Rs 72 crore to families of Chinese citizens killed in terrorist attacks

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Pakistan, which is on the brink of financial bankruptcy, will now have to pay Rs 72 crore as compensation to the families of killed Chinese citizens. There was a terrorist attack on a convoy of Chinese nationals in Pakistan, in which 5 Chinese nationals were killed. In a meeting chaired by Pakistan’s Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb, it was decided to pay a compensation of Rs 72 crore. One US dollar is worth 279 Pakistani rupees in the international market.

On March 26, 2024, a suicide attack took place in Shangla, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. 5 Chinese engineers were killed in this attack. All the Chinese engineers were on their way to their camp at Dasu. There was an attack here in the year 2021 as well. 13 people including 9 Chinese nationals were killed.

China is building an economic highway from Pakistan to its country, developing the Gwadar port and the surrounding area. Balochistan Liberation Army soldiers opposed it and attacked its construction site.
