A few days ago, 100 schools in Delhi and 7 schools in Ahmedabad also received threats of terrorist attack
New Delhi – Incidents of giving false threats are continuously coming to light in the recent past. A few days ago, 100 schools in Delhi and 7 schools in Ahmedabad received bomb threats. Now 13 airports in the country have received a bomb threat. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) received a threat email on 12thMay. It was immediately investigated.
Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, Jammu, Jaipur, Bhopal and Patna airports were terrorised due to bomb threat. The Delhi Police later said the threat was a hoax and further investigations are underway to trace the senders of the email. After receiving the threat, the security team of Lucknow Airport conducted a thorough search of the entire airport; but the Bomb Threat Assessment Committee informed that the threat was fake. Threats at other airports also turned out to be false, informed the CISF.
Editorial Perspective
It is possible that the fake threats are being given by Jihadi terrorists deliberately to confuse the security forces. They should not fall prey to such tactics and remain vigilant enough to counter, if a real attack takes place in the near future. |
