New Delhi – Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reported in March that, young men are lured to Russia with the promise of lucrative jobs only to force them to fight in the war against Ukraine. Previously 4 people and now the residents from Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) named Arun and Yesudas have been arrested.

The trick uncovered

Last month, the CBI had arrested Nijil Jobi Bensam & Anthony Michael from Mumbai. Accused Michael was working as a translator in Russia and was one of the key members of the network recruiting Indian nationals in Russian Army. Michael was facilitating his co-accused Faisal Baba based in Dubai and was also involved in visa processing and booking air tickets for the people from Chennai. Arun and Yesudas, who are now arrested, were working to recruit students from Kerala and Tamil Nadu into the Russian army.

The visa consultancy companies duped the people with jobs in Russia through the videos on social media. In this case, the Central Investigation Agency has raided 10 places in 7 cities Delhi, Ambala, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Chennai, Madurai and Thiruvananthapuram so far.
