Varanasi – Retired District Judge Ajay Krishna Vishwesh stated that throughout his tenure, he performed his duties with full dedication and hard work. The decision to allow worship in the basement area of Vyas Ji in the Gyanvapi complex was made after listening to the arguments of both parties. “The decision was made with the objective of justice in mind,” said Vishwesh, who had recently retired from his position as a district judge. He had granted permission for Hindu parties to perform puja in the basement of Gyanvapi. This verdict was one of the last decisions he made during his tenure. The decision was delivered on 31st January, just before his retirement.
Retired Judge Ajay Krishna Vishwesh remarked,
“During my judicial service, I delivered judgments with the intention of ensuring justice, and I strived to avoid any errors. I always considered the evidence before making a decision.
“Those who win in Court leave with a smile, while those against whom the verdict is rendered start protesting. All decisions are based on documentation and evidence.”
