Bengaluru (Karnataka) – Fanatic Muslims attacked Sri Muneshwar Swami Temple in Bapuji Nagar and vandalised even the ‘Nag-katta’ built adjacent to the temple. Two ‘Nag-Katta’ have been totally broken and two ‘Nag-Katta’ have been defaced. Activists led by Mr M L Shivkumar, Vijayanagar’s Chief of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), and Bajrang Dal lodged a complaint with Byatarayanapura Police station demanding immediate arrests of the culprits.

1. It was the third such attack on this temple. In 2020, the saffron flag, that was mounted in front of the temple, was burnt down. Police did not arrest the culprits even at that time, despite lodging many complaints. This misdeed is done purposely and is suspected to be a part of the ‘love jihad’ ploy. Immediate arrest of the culprits and legal action has been demanded.

2. A resident of the area said that fanatic Muslim thugs are frequenting the area for the last few years, and it has become difficult for women to go out in the evenings. The fanatics start stone-pelting if questioned.

Police should treat the matter seriously and take action against offenders ! – HJS

Mr Mohan Gauda, the State Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

Mr Mohan Gauda, the State Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) said while talking to the media, it was unfortunate that even after ten days since the incident, none of the offenders has been arrested. The Police should take the matter seriously and arrest the fanatic Muslims, fix CCTVs in the temple, and provide protection to the temple.

Editorial viewpoint

Hindus don’t expect such inaction in the case of Hindu temples in a BJP-ruled Government in Karnataka ! Hindus think that the Government should take severe action against the people responsible for the damage and protect every temple in Karnataka.
