Verdict comes within a year !
Kalitalai (Madhya Pradesh) – Sheopur District and Sessions Judge Pradeep Mittal convicted the accused Shehbaz, Riaz and Mohsin in the forest gang rape case and sentenced them to life imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of ₹10,000 has also been imposed on each accused. Incidentally, the victim girl was gang-raped exactly a year ago on 17th March 2022, before the verdict was delivered on 17th March 2023.
On 17th March 2022, the minor victim girl was passing through the Kalitalai forest along with her acquaintance when Shahbaz, Riaz, and Mohsin, residents of Balapura reached there and gang-raped her. Dehat Police had arrested the accused in this case. The Police had submitted the investigation report to the Court in just 12 days. (Police should show such promptness in every aspect ! – Editor)
