Will remove loudspeakers from the mosques if voted to power in Karnataka

BJP leader Eshwarappa’s poll promise

Senior BJP leader and former Minister K S Eshwarappa

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – During an interview given to a daily newspaper, Senior BJP leader and former Minister K S Eshwarappa promised the citizens of Karnataka that if BJP returns to power in Karnataka after Assembly elections, loudspeakers will be removed immediately from all the mosques across the State. He added, ‘From the students to patients, all are worried about the loudspeakers. Schoolchildren in Karnataka, who are currently giving their school examinations, are suffering due to the sound of these loudspeakers’. Eshwarappa, while speaking at a rally two days earlier, had said, ‘Is Allah deaf ? Why loudspeaker is required to call him during the namaz ?’

1. Why the current BJP Governments of the States and the Centre do not ban loudspeakers in mosques ? While answering this question, Eshwarappa said, ‘I am going to request the State and the Union Government to immediately take action on the loudspeakers’.

2. While answering a question about the Hindu temples that were destroyed in the past, Eshwarappa said, ‘We shall rebuild the Hindu temples which were destroyed in the past and the mosques were built on those lands. I read in an article that 36,000 Hindu temples were destroyed and mosques were built on those lands. I do not know the actual number. I have not done anything for this cause so far. I shall see what I can do in the future. I only spoke my mind at the moment’.
