When Superintendent Roshan Yadav tried to explain her that non-Hindus are prohibited to enter this temple, Reshma did not listen to him and entered the temple.

Later she got Roshan Yadav transferred 400 km away from Puri. After this information came to light, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has been requested to take action against Reshma Lakhani.
