According to the information given by BBC the missile had covered 4,500 kms and reached an altitude of 10,000 km. The missile fell at that point from where the US island Guam is very near. Last week the US, South Korea and Japan had conducted a joint military exercise; hence it is being said that North Korea must have fired this missile to show its opposition. North Korea had fired a missile like this in 2017 also.
