Al-Qaeda chief al-Zawahiri killed in a drone strike !

America entered Kabul and launched missiles by drone !

Kabul (Afghanistan) – Al-Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda, a jihadi terrorist organisation, was killed by two missiles launched from an American drone in Sherpur, Afghanistan. US President Joe Biden informed that this action was taken on the afternoon of 31^st July. Two Hellfire R9X missiles were fired at Zawahiri as he went in the balcony of his residence. It is a special type of missile that does not explode, but instead releases a knife-like blade that hits the target without collateral damage. The Taliban is angry at this action of the US and has said that it is a violation of the ‘Doha Agreement’.

Ayman al-Zawahri, who took over Al Qaeda after the death of Osama bin Laden, was killed in the U.S. drone strike. Zawahri was the No. 2 in Al Qaeda on Sept. 11, and American officials considered him a central plotter of the attacks.

1. Zawahiri became the chief of al-Qaeda after the US killed Osama bin Laden in 2011 in Pakistan. Now it is being said that Al-Adel may become the next chief of al-Qaeda after Zawahiri’s death.

2. According to the New York Times, this operation was carried out by a special team of the CIA. Zawahiri has been living in Kabul since the Taliban Government came to power in Afghanistan in August 2021.

3. US President Joe Biden addressed the nation after al-Zawahiri was killed. He said that we found and killed Zawahiri and will continue the war on terror in Afghanistan.

How was al-Zawahiri killed actually ?

On the afternoon of 31^st July, al-Zawahiri went to the balcony of his safe house. The US intelligence agencies had earlier noticed that he often comes on the balcony and stays there for a while. Al-Zawahiri was on the balcony of a safe house when the drone fired two missiles at him. Zawahiri’s family members were present too, but they were unharmed and only the former was killed in the attack. It is interesting to note that even when the US had vacated Afghanistan, it entered Kabul and took this action. Earlier there was an American military base in Sherpur area. No American soldiers were present during this operation.

Al-Zawahiri accused of attack on the World Trade Center

On September 11, 2001, the United States accused Osama bin Laden, al-Zawahiri and all al-Qaeda terrorists in connection with the attack on the World Trade Center in New York City. The US had tried to kill Zawahiri several times before. In 2001, Zawahiri was reported to be hiding in Tora Bora, Afghanistan, but he fled before the attack. His wife and children were killed in the attack. In the year 2006, the US intelligence agency again laid a trap to kill Zawahiri. At that time, he was reported to be hiding in Damadola, Pakistan, but Zawahiri had escaped before the missile attack.

Had issued threat to India over the hijab case !

Al-Zawahiri aired a 9-minute video in April this year. In this video, he said that Holland, France and Egypt are anti-Islamic countries. Along with this, he also made a statement about the hijab controversy in India. Zawahiri had praised a Muslim student in Karnataka for her lone fight in support of hijab and threatened India.

Al-Qaeda had threatened to attack India based on an old video !

Al-Qaeda released a video on 7^th June and threatened India over the Nupur Sharma case. It had threatened to avenge the alleged insult to the Prophet Muhammad by bombing and killing Hindus. The Indian States of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Gujarat were threatened to attack along with the city of Mumbai.
