Seven accused from Amaravati sent to NIA custody

Amravati (Maharashtra) – It is suspected that the jihadi organsiation ‘Islamic State’ is involved in the murder of a local pharmacist, Umesh Kolhe. On the 7th of July 2022, the special Court of National Investigating Agency (NIA) sent the seven accused to its custody.

The brutal manner in which Kolhe has been murdered, it is felt that the assailants must have been influenced by the modus operandi of ‘The Islamic State’. An officer of NIA said that it was, therefore, investigated if the accused are connected to Islamic State or any other terrorist organisation.
