Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan released a memorandum and asked the public to use Türkiye to address the country in every language. The name ‘Türkiye’ represents the culture, civilization and values of the people in a better way. The belief that the country should be known after the name of the local language has become stronger and hence, the changes in the names of a few countries have been accepted. (Against this background, most Indians feel that the official name of our country should be changed from ‘India’ to ‘Bharat’ at an international level. – Editor)
