1. University students said, ‘There was no such event as Iftar at BHU for a long time. Suddenly, the Vice-Chancellor turned Banaras Hindu University into Jamia Millia Osmania University (University of Muslims). This is an attempt to appease the Muslims’.
2. Anti-Hindu graffiti surfaced on the walls of the university premises after the Iftar party. The students also provided some photographs of the graffiti where anti-Hindu slogans like ‘Kashmir to bas jhanki hai, poora Bharat baaki hai’ and ‘Brahman Teri kabr khudegi BHU ki dharti par’ were written. (What did the Vice-Chancellor achieve by organising Iftar at the University ? This shows that the anti-Hindu and anti-national mentality of religious fanatics is as it is ! – Editor)
