Sambhal (UP) – Samajwadi Party’s MP Shafiqur Rahman Barq has threatened that if an attempt is made to do Jalabhishek in the Masjid there would be bloodshed in which 1000’s would be affected. The residents claim that there is an old Shiva Temple within the Jama Masjid.

There has been a request to go there and do jalabhishek.  Barq has also requested protection for the Masjid.

• The Police, the Government, and also the Archaeology Department of India must investigate if it is being alleged that there is a Shiva Temple inside the Jama Masjid.
