Haryana Government’s decision is commendable ! Similarly, the spiritual importance of the river Saraswati and Kurukshetra should also be taught to the students.

Chandigarh – Haryana Government has decided to include the history of the ancient Saraswati river and Kurukshetra (a place where the Mahabharata war was fought) in the school curriculum. The syllabus has been designed for 6th to 10th standards so that the children become aware of the history of the river Saraswati. A 15-member Saraswati Syllabus Committee led by Pritam Singh, the Assistant Director of Centre for BR Ambedkar Studies at Kurukshetra University, has been formed in this regard. Before this, Haryana Government had launched 11 projects for the rejuvenation of the river Saraswati.
