Selling of alcohol and meat banned

Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) – 10 km2 area around Shrikrushna’s birthplace in Mathura has been declared as a pilgrimage site by Uttar Pradesh Government. This area has 22 Nagar Nigam wards. They are declared as a pilgrimage site. Due to this, the selling of meat and alcohol has been banned in this area.
