In how many villages with Muslim majority population can a Hindu contestant be elected ? Such incidents can occur only because Hindus are tolerant and believe in respecting all religions !

Ayodhya (UP) – Haafiz Azhimuddin, a Muslim contestant has been elected as a Sarpanch in Rajapur which is a Hindu majority village. He secured more than 200 votes. There are 600 voters in this village and only 27 are Muslims.

Haafiz said, “Winning this election is like a gift for me on Eid. Hindu voters in the village have elected me and now it is my duty to fulfil their expectations”.

Shekhar Sahu, a farmer belonging to this village said, “People have considered the person and not religion while voting. Although we all believe and follow Hindu dharma, we have elected a Muslim contestant. This demonstrates that we respect all religions”.
