President Ramanath Kovind offers the first donation of 5 lakh rupees!

New Delhi – The nationwide drive to collect donations for the construction of Shriram Mandir at Ayodhya commenced on January 15th. This drive began with the first donation of 5 lakh and 100 Rupees offered by President Ramnath Kovind. This was followed by an offering of 1 lakh Rupees by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh. Govindbhai Dhodakiya, a diamond merchant from Ahmedabad, donated 11 crore uRpees. He is associated with the R.S.S.
The drive, which will continue till the 27th February, aims to contact more than 12 crore families from across 5 lakh villages. Coupons of denominations of 10 Rupees, 100 Rupees and 1000 Rupees will be issued. Those donating more than 2000 Rupees will be issued receipts.
