140 workers in Tirupati Balaji Temple affected by corona

Hyderabad (Telangana) – Nearly 140 workers including priests in the world-famous Tirupati Balaji Temple are affected by the coronavirus. The Chairman of Temple Trust Y.V. Subbareddy declared that the management has no plans to shut down the temple. The temple remained close from 25th March to 11th June this year to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Ramanna Dikshitalu the Chief Priest of the Temple demanded to close down the temple for the public once again.

‘Of the corona affected staff, 70 persons recovered and only one person has shown serious symptoms. However, as a precaution, the management asked the Chief Priest to stay at home’, stated Subbareddy.
