Khalapur (Raigad) – ‘Gou-rakshaks’ and Police reached Hal Budruk in Khalapur taluka at midnight of 12.03.2025 as they got the information about trafficking of cattle for slaughter; but a mob of 250-300 fanatic Muslims attacked them by pelting stones. A few ‘Gou-rakshaks’ and Policemen got injured in the attack.
‘Gou-rakshaks’ found two cows in the area near Hotel Uncle Kitchen in Khalapur Police station’s jurisdiction. They also found remnants of cattle and their skin in a 50 ft deep pothole; therefore, they called the Police.
Soon, a mob of around 250-300 Muslims reached the place and pelted stones at the Police and ‘Gou-rakshaks’. A few ‘Gou-rakshaks’ have been seriously injured. (It shows the systematic planning and aggressiveness of Muslims. – Editor)
There were even small children and women among the Muslim attackers; some of them carried weapons and stones.
‘Gou-rakshaks’ and the Police came to the Khopoli-Mumbai highway for safety as the situation was worsening; but Muslims pelted stones even at the passing vehicles on the highway.
Additional Police force was sent on getting information about the clashes and the situation was brought under control in a few hours.
The Police have taken 12 persons into custody and interrogations are going on while cases have been filed against 60 persons. Samir Sayyad, Murtaza Metkar, Javed Liyaqat Sonde, Qadir Latif Karjikar, Riaz Jalgaonkar, Usman Jalgaonkar, Samir Daste, Muzaffar Karjikar, Mojjam Mandalekar, Mujib Jalgaonkar, Asif Bedekar are names of some of the persons in the mob.
The Police have appealed to people to remain calm and promised to take necessary action against the guilty.
‘Gou-rakshaks’ organisations are enraged after this incident and a few pro-Hindu organisations, including ‘Shivapratishthan Hindustan’, have strongly condemned the attack. ‘Gou-rakshaks’ have warned to protect cows at any cost.
Editorial PerspectivePlease note that the so-called secularists and anti-Hindu media, making noise about Muslims being unsafe in India, will not say a word about such incidents. These so-called anti-Hindu factions, who malign India’s and consequently Hindus’ image, should be taken to task by Hindus. This is the outcome of absence of stringent implementation of law against cow-slaughter. |
