Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) – In the Bara Police station area, a young man named Vaibhav Verma allegedly lured a young teacher to his home under the pretext of discussing matters related to a friend. Once there, he forced her to drink alcohol, assaulted her, and attempted to rape her. He also broke her mobile phone during the attack. The teacher managed to escape and ran half-dressed onto the street for help. Police have registered a case and are actively searching for Vaibhav.
1. The victim, a teacher originally from Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh, currently resides with her brother in Damodarnagar.
2. According to her statement, she had been on her way to a student’s home for tuition. Vaibhav, a friend of her acquaintance, approached her on the street and claimed that her friend was upset, urging her to come to his home to discuss the matter. Under his insistence, she went along, leading to the reported incident.
3. Following the attack, the teacher escaped from the house partially dressed, borrowed clothes from a nearby woman, and sought her brother’s help. Police responded to the scene immediately.
