1 soldier martyred, 4 injured in terrorist attack in Poonch (Kashmir)

Third attack in Poonch in last 6 months

Srinagar (J&K) – A soldier was martyred and other 4 soldiers were injured in an attack by Jihadi terrorists in Poonch area in Kashmir on the evening of 4th May. The martyred soldier has been identified as Corporal Vicky Pahade, who was serving in the Indian Air Force.

In the Surankote area of ​​Poonch, 2 security vehicles were passing on the road, when 4 terrorists opened fire on them indiscriminately. One of the 2 vehicles belonged to the Indian Air Force. After the attack, the terrorists fled into the forest. Local Police and defense agencies are searching for the terrorists. Poonch falls in the Rajouri-Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency, where polling will be held on 25th May.

A total of 6 terrorist attacks have taken place in the Poonch area in the last 2 and a half years, in which 21 soldiers have been martyred. This is the third attack in the last 6 months.
