Incidents of molestation of minor girls reported at Nalasopara

Police announce a reward for information about the accused

Mumbai – Incidents of sexual exploitation of minor girls have been reported at Nalasopara in Palghar District in October and November months this year. Minor girls passing by on the roads and playing near their houses were taken to deserted places and sexually abused. Police have announced a prize to anyone who gives information about the accused. Tulinj Police Station has published sketches of the accused in both incidents and even announced prize money for the informants.

In both of the above incidents, a seven-year-old girl returning from school was stopped on the road, on the 5th of October 2023, and a nine-year-old girl playing near her house was taken to a sheltered place a little away and sexually abused. Police have filed cases in both incidents and a search for the accused is on. They have displayed sketches of the accused in and around Nalasopara.

Involvement of Rehan Qureshi in the sexual exploitation of many girls and molestation of more than 200 girls as per earlier records

In 2018, a fanatic named Rehan Qureshi used to stop many girls passing by the road and molest them. Three girls had filed complaints against him with the Police. Later, he was arrested by the Police. In his interrogation, it was revealed that he had molested more than 200 girls at various places like Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Mira Road, and Bhayandar. (Police should disclose the punishment given to the accused for molesting more than 200 girls. – Editor)
