RTO’s action comes as a result of the news in the daily Sanatan Prabhat !
Mumbai – The defective Grievance Redressal Portal on the RTO’s website has been now replaced with a link to the ‘Aaple Sarkar’ app for the passengers to raise complaints. This action has been taken as a result of the follow-up by the representative of the daily ‘Sanatan Prabhat’.
1. Daily Sanatan Prabhat first published the news that the Grievance Redressal Portal on the RTO’s website was out of order on 14th September 2023.
2. On 8th February 2023, the Home Department issued a Government order to give the maintenance and repair work of the Grievance Redressal Portal and Mobile App to the establishment ‘MahaIT’ and approved more than ₹37 lakhs for the same.
3. After 7 months, when the representative of the daily Sanatan Prabhat enquired about it, MahaIT informed them that they had not received this work. In the issue of the daily Sanatan Prabhat dated 14th September 2023, the whole scenario was exposed by publishing the news on the 1st page.
4. When the representative of the daily Sanatan Prabhat contacted Sandesh Chavan, Deputy Commissioner of State Transport, he said that the concerned Government order has been revoked and complaints about the transport department will be accepted on the ‘Aaple Sarkar’ website of the Maharashtra Government.
5. At that time, the representative of Sanatan Prabhat pointed out that there was no facility or option available for complaints on the website of the State Transport Board, and the passengers did not know where to complain.
6. He then provided a link to the ‘Aaple Sarkar’ app complaint facility of the State Government on the State Transport Board’s website ‘https://transport.maharashtra.gov.in/’. Along with this, the earlier faulty Grievance Redressal Portal of the State Transport Board has been removed.
Complaints can now be filed online against private travel agencies charging hefty ticket prices !
Private travel agencies are charging heavy ticket prices during the ongoing Ganeshotsav. Passengers will now be able to lodge a complaint online on the ‘Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra’ complaint redressal system on the RTO’s website.
Various relevant mobile apps have also been made available on the website !
Various mobile apps of the RTO were also non-functional for several months. This was also pointed out in a report in the daily Sanatan Prabhat. Following this, various apps related to the transport department have been made available on the website.
