Pune Police warns public to be alert in the wake of possible terror attacks during Ganesh festival

Pune – Pune’s Ganesh festival is famous all over the country. People from many Districts of the State come to Pune in this period. It leads to crowding in various parts of the city. In July, Pune Police had arrested 2 terrorists from Kothrud, therefore, Pune Police is on high alert. They have appealed to the public to remain alert during Ganesh festival.

Ritesh Kumar, Police Commissioner has asked Ganesh Mandal workers to be alert about their security arrangements. The Police Commissioner himself is reviewing safety meetings along with the city Ganesh Mandals. They will be taking precautions to avoid any unfortunate incidents during the Ganesh festival. In a few days, guidelines for Ganesh festival will be announced and Ganesh Mandals will be notified to follow the same.

Since Independence none of the Governments have taken effective measures to eliminate terrorism, which has resulted in a shameful situation for Hindus’ festivals and celebrations taking place under the threat of terrorism. This situation makes Hindu Rashtra a necessity.
