Rajkot (Gujarat) – When gender equality was not known in the world, at that time highly learned female scholars like Gargi, Maitreyi, Atreyi were accepting challenges in scientific debates and achieving success in this endeavour, stated PM Narendra Modi. He was speaking online in the programme organised on the occasion of Amrut Mahotsav (Completing 75 years) of Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul Rajkot Sansthan.

PM Modi said further that, we had derived conclusions doing research in every field from zero to infinity in that period when other countries were known for their royal families, but India was known for its Gurukuls. Gurukul mean Guru’s root. Universities like Nalanda, and Takshashila were our global glory of Guru tradition. With a view to enhancing our ancient tradition, Swaminarayan is establishing a ‘Girl’s Gurukul’. This Gurukul has instilled very good thoughts in students in the last 75 years, through which they will succeed in making all-around development.
