Jaipur (Rajasthan) – After the stone-pelting incident on the 2nd April 2022 in Karauli, Rajasthan Government has banned the hoisting of the religious flags on homes. Besides, they have also banned DJ music. This ban is during the period when Hindu festivals of Durga Ashtami, Ramnavami, Ambedkar Jayanti, Mahavir Jayanti and Hanuman Jayanti are celebrated. No one is allowed to go onto the terraces to view the processions. In many areas of Rajasthan, Section 144 is already imposed. These processions are going to be monitored by drones too.

The use of loudspeakers is banned during the procession. No person or organisation is allowed to use a DJ for any programme or celebration without prior permission. The Government order states that these restrictions will be in place from 7.4.22 till 9.5.22.
