My statement was completely misconstrued, claimed Shweta Tiwari

Bhopal (MP) – The actress Shweta Tiwari allegedly mentioned God while making a statement about her inner garment; she apologised when a case was registered against her. Shweta Tiwari said that her statement in connection with the role of her colleague had been misconstrued and presented incorrectly.

After having understood the reference of this statement, we would know that the word ‘Dev’ had been uttered referring to Saurabh Raj Jain, playing the role of ‘Dev (Name)’ in the serial. People connect with the names of the character of performing actors; hence, I had used it as an example when speaking with the media. But it was misconstrued. I am sorry for that. I believe in God. I never intended to hurt the religious sentiments, deliberately or unknowingly. I learnt that people’s sentiments were hurt inadvertently. I did not intend to speak or act to hurt anyone, hence, I am apologising.
