VHP objects to the Odisha Govt sanctioning funds to Mother Teresa’s institutions that convert Hindus

Editorial comment

The Government of Odisha, Biju Janata Dal party is taking temples under the Government’s control and attacking the donations to sanction funds to the Christian missionaries. Hindus must now take legal action against Biju Janata Dal.

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) – Biju Janata Dal party Government of Odisha has sanctioned Rs 78.76 lakh from the CMRF to support 13 institutions run by Mother Teresa’s ‘Missionaries of Charity. Vishva Hindu Parishad has objected to this decision stating these organisations convert Hindus.

In a press conference at Bhubaneswar VHP’s General Secretary Milind Parande said,

This is taxpayer’s money. No CM has the right to give money to the organisations that convert Hindus. We strongly oppose this.

The assassination of Swamy Laxmananad Saraswati is a result of the conspiracy by Christians. This has been confirmed by several sources. However, the State Government has been unsuccessful in giving justice to the Hindus. The reason behind it is showing them sympathy and appeasing them.

Government is reluctant to strictly implement the law of conversion.  For only 3% of the Christians, 17% of the Hindus in the State are being attacked continuously. Sanctioning money for Teresa’s organisations is one of the examples.

The temple priests have been ignored by the Odisha Government

Priests are living a difficult life due to the Covid-19 pandemic. They haven’t received any relief funds from the Government. Priests have been completely ignored. The Government has no concern about the dilapidated Mutts in the State. Many child-shelter homes, orphanages, and other organisations are facing a financial crisis. CM Naveen Patnaik never sanctioned any funds for these organisations but shows generosity to the Christian Missionaries. VHP condemns this hypocrisy.
