VHP to launch nationwide awareness drive about a Bill against religious conversion

Editorial comment

  • Hindus feel that the need to make such a demand and agitation should not have arisen; the Government should immediately pass such a Bill on its own.

New Delhi – Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) is going to launch nationwide agitation from 21st to 31st December about a Bill against religious conversion.

International President of VHP, Alok Kumar said that last year he had met all political parties’ MPs about this issue. He had met 329 MPs, among which some were Muslims and Christians. If any tribal is getting converted then he should not be given the benefit of reservation. The Government should pass a Bill that makes converting through alluring, fear and deception severely punishable by law.
