Kabul (Afghanistan) – It has been reported that a Ukrainian plane has been hijacked in Kabul and later flown to Iran. The aircraft had arrived in Afghanistan to evacuate Ukrainians.

Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Yenin has claimed that it was hijacked during the evacuation process. No one has claimed responsibility for the hijack. On the other hand, Iran has declined Ukraine’s claim saying a Ukrainian flight had landed in Mashhad on 23rd August for refuelling, which later returned to Ukraine.
