Tehran (Iran) – Zahra Ismaili, a woman convicted of murder for killing her husband died of heart attack before her execution. This did not deter the authorities from meting out the punishment under Sharia law. Her mother-in-law ’wished’ to see Zahra executed to avenge her son’s murder.
Iran believes in an eye for an eye retribution. This gave the right to Zahra’s mother in law to retaliate to her son’s killing. Zahra Ismaili’s corpse was placed on a stool and tied to a noose.Her mother in law then kicked the stool to hang the corpse from the gallows
