
Shivamogga (Karnataka) – Eight people were burnt to death when a truck filled with gelatine sticks exploded, in a stone quarry in Hunasodu village. The death toll is expected to rise. At the time of explosion, the truck was parked, and the workers were resting. The blast was so powerful that the windowpanes up to 30 kilometres away were cracked. Buildings in the vicinity also suffered damage.
