Complaint names 7 people including Amitabh Bachchan

Muzaffarpur(Bihar) – Acharya Chandra Kishore Parashar has complained in the Chief Judicial Magistrates court against the TV programme KBC regarding hurting the religious sentiments. The complaint is against Amitabh Bachchan, director Arunesh Kumar, Rahul Verma, channel president Manjit Singh, CEO N.P.singh and participating contestant Bejwada Wilson.

Chandra Kishore Parashar complained that in the programme aired on 30th October Amitabh Bachchan, for the prize money of Rs.6,40,000 asked the contestant Bejvada Wilson, ‘on 25th September 1927, pages of which scripture were burnt by followers of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’? The options for the answer to this question were ‘Vishnupuran, Bhagwad Gita, Rigved, Manusmiriti. The question was asked in a deliberate attempt to hurt the religious sentiments.
