The school, owned by Trupta Tyagi, was already under scrutiny by education authorities for not meeting department criteria and had received recognition cancellation notices. This incident led to its closure, raising questions about regional disparities in handling such cases.

In an incident in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, a Muslim teacher assaulted a Hindu student for writing ‘Jai Shriram’ on the blackboard. The school, however, remained open, fuelling debates on consistency in responses to such situations.

Approximately 50 students will be relocated to other schools due to Neha Public School’s closure.
