Bengaluru – The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has completed a historical milestone on the occasion of Diwali. On the night of 23 rd October at 12.07, they had a Commercial launch of the heaviest rocket ‘LVM-3’ from Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota. With this rocket, 36 satellites of ‘OneWeb’ were launched into space. 36 satellites of ‘OneWeb’ a British Private Space Company, were launched. Through this mission, ‘ISRO’ has entered the race for giving the ‘world’s commercial launching service’.

According to the information given by ISRO Chief Somnath, the rocket “LVM 3’ is 43.5 meters long and has the capability of carrying satellites weighing 8,000 Kg. In the year 2023 ‘LVM 3’ will launch 36 satellites of ‘OneWeb’ into space.
In the 1 st stage of the contract with Britain, 36 of 108 satellites have been launched to date.
