Street dogs have more respect than Muslims in India : Asaduddin Owaisi, MP

Asaduddin Owaisi

Hyderabad (Telangana) – ‘Wherever there is a BJP Govt. in the country, it feels like Muslims are living in an open jail. A street dog has respect in India but not Muslims’, MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi expressed his anger in a event held in Hyderabad. He was talking about the incident in which some Muslims were tied to a pole and flogged with canes for throwing stones at a Navratri Garba event in Gujarat.

Owaisi said, ‘In Gujarat, Police caught hold of Muslim men after it was said that they pelted stones at a Navratri Garba event. The Muslim men were tied to pole and flogged with canes by Police in front of 300-400 people. At that time, the attendees raised slogans and clapped. Is this what our lives are worth ? Is this our dignity ? If such incidents are happening in the country, please shut the Courts, dismiss the Police force’. (Owaisi should first answer whether it is acceptable to hide the religious identity and enter the religious places of Hindus who worship Idols which is forbidden in Islam ? Owaisi should also explain what Muslims would have done if a person of other religious faith would have hidden his identity and entered a mosque and later caught by the Muslims ! – Editor)

Owaisi criticised the BJP over the upcoming assembly elections in Gujarat and said, ‘Everyone will tell not to vote for Owaisi in the Gujarat elections, but still I will be with those who are oppressed in the country. I will never support criminals’.

Editorial Viewpoints

  • If someone asks Owaisi, ‘Why should anybody respect those who say that they will teach a lesson to 100 crore Hindus if the Police force is removed for 15 minutes’, will he answer them ?
  • Why doesn’t Owaisi utter a word about the fact that 4.5 lakh Hindus were driven out from Kashmir by Muslims 3 decades ago and the pathetic condition of Hindus currently living there ?
  • Why shouldn’t Owaisi, who is trying to provoke Muslims in this way, be put in jail and a strict action taken against him ?
