Proposal to change the name of UP’s Firozabad to Chandra Nagar unanimously approved by Zilla Parishad

Hindus feel that changing such slavery-depicting names should not be limited to UP, but should be implemented in all the States governed by the BJP and in the whole country by the Central Government. – Editor

Lucknow (UP) – The newly elected Zilla Parishad of Firozabad, famous for its glassware, particularly bangles, has moved a proposal to change the name of the District to Chandra Nagar. The proposal was unanimously approved. Earlier it was known as Chandwar. During Akbar’s reign in 1566, it was changed to Firozabad. Akbar had sent his military official Firoz Shah there, hence, the city was named ‘Firozabad’. Firoz Shah’s grave is located in front of its Municipality office. King Chandrasen had built Chandwar; hence, the demand to name it as ‘Chandra Nagar’.
