Facebook blocks Australians from sharing news on its platform

Google threatens to withdraw its search engine

The entire world should unitedly act against the coercive attitude of Google and Facebook

New Delhi – News from newspapers, news agencies and news channels around the world are shared on Google, Facebook and other digital forums in Australia. So Australia proposed a law which would make tech giants pay for news content shared on their platforms. As a result Facebook has restricted users from sharing news in Australia while Google has warned of following the social media giant. The law states that, any internet related platform will have to pay news outlets for their content that is shared on the platform.

France and Spain have implemented similar laws in the past resulting Google shutting down its News service there. No such law has been framed in India, although it has been in demand for last few years. Experts feel that, Google and Facebook might protest if such a law is passed in India.
